Data protection

Privacy notice.

A plain-language explanation of how personal information connected with this website is handled.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

Who is responsible

Safetyware Sdn. Bhd. (“Safetyware”, “we”, “us”) operates the RHINO SHOE website. Our address is Plot 237, Lengkok Perindustrian Bukit Minyak 3, Bukit Minyak Industrial Estate, 14100 Simpang Ampat, Penang, Malaysia.

Scope and principles

This notice is designed around Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the core notice, consent, purpose, security, retention, access and correction principles reflected in Singapore's PDPA. Where another law applies to a visitor or processing activity—including the EU/UK GDPR, Australian Privacy Act, New Zealand Privacy Act, Japan's APPI or applicable US state law—we aim to honour the additional mandatory rights and safeguards that apply.

Information we may receive

  • Enquiry information: name, company, work email, phone, market, product interest and the message you choose to send.
  • Business correspondence: quotation, specification, distribution, OEM and after-sales communications.
  • Technical records: IP address, browser, device, requested URL, timestamp and security events that a hosting provider may record in standard server logs.
  • Preference data: the cookie/storage choice saved in your browser.

How the enquiry form works

The current form prepares an email in your own email application. The public website does not submit or store the form fields in a website database. If you send the email, Safetyware receives the information through its business email systems.

Why we use information

We use personal information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, recommend products, provide technical documents, manage supplier or distributor discussions, develop OEM opportunities, maintain security, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims. Depending on the jurisdiction, the legal basis may be consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, legal obligation or legitimate business interests that do not override individual rights.

Marketing

We should not add you to optional direct-marketing communications merely because you made a sales enquiry unless the law allows it and the required preference or consent has been recorded. You may ask to stop marketing at any time.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with authorised Safetyware personnel, relevant Safetyware regional companies, IT and hosting providers, professional advisers, logistics or testing partners, and public authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Regional and OEM enquiries may require information to be accessed from or sent to another country. We take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual, organisational and security safeguards and, where required, to ensure comparable protection or obtain valid consent.

Retention and security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, business relationship, warranty, audit, legal or security purpose. We use reasonable administrative, physical and technical measures, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may ask whether we hold your personal information; request access, correction or deletion; object to or restrict certain uses; withdraw consent; request portability where available; or complain about our handling. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

Children

This business-to-business website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children.

Cookies and similar technology

See our Cookie Policy. Optional analytics or marketing cookies are not currently active on the public site.
